Most saw blades today are manufactured on a Vollmer machine. It’s only right for your blades to be sharpened on the same machine. Here at SGSI, we are outfitted with a Vollmer CX100 that lets us strictly maintain OEM tolerances. Giving your saw blades more life. The CX100 is a 4 axis CNC precision saw sharpening machine. Service Grinding and Sharpening Inc. is able to sharpen all sizes of saw blades for cabinetry and woodworking companies in the Twin Cities and greater Minnesota. All shapers, cutters and router bits are sharpened on a ridge tool and cutter grinder to ensure the very best finish for our customers.

SGSI can sharpen a carbide saw from 3 inches up to 30 inches (76mm to 762mm). As we sharpen your saw correctly we can extend the life of the saw blade by years.

  • ForstnerBitAt SGSI we sharpen forstner bits  ½ inch up to 8 inches (12mm to 204mm). Forstner bits receive the highest quality of sharpening that gives our customers a perfect cut every time. We are able to re-sharpen several times to maximize useful life out of your tooling.

    Panel Cutters are sharpened on a Sturdy Tool and Cutter Grinder for precise indexing. We remove the same amount from each wing to ensure all wings are cutting. To give you longer tool life we only grind off what is necessary to give the cutter a sharp cutting edge.

    We sharpen inserts on a Cincinnati #2, using an extra fine grit diamond wheel, leaving your inserts with a mirror finish and sharp as new. In contrast, to buying, we can save you money.

  • SpiralBitWe sharpen all types of solid carbide spirals for CNC applications. We sharpen spirals on a precision tool and cutter grinder to maintain hook angles and like new performance ¼ inch on up.
  • CompSpriralBitAt SGSI we sharpen solid carbide spiral compression bits for CNC applications. These are sharpened on a Precision Tool and Cutter Grinder, from ¼ inch on up. We use high grit diamond wheels to get the mirror finish for the best cutting edge.
